Everyone knows that sails require maintenance and a regular (preferably annual) check over in order to maximize performance and longevity. A systematic point-by-point inspection of your sail inventory can save you extensive (and unexpected) repair costs and keep you out on the water longer. We are able to handle all of your repair and maintenance needs, from simple restitching to complicated recuts or rebuilds, and we work
on all makes and types of sails.
We will provide you with a full evaluation of your sail and a quote on the approximate costs you can expect. Most times the evaluation and quote can be done while you wait. Once you have approved the work, we aim for a quick turnaround in order to get you back out on the water. We make every effort to ensure that our repairs come in at or below our quote. If, for some reason, there is an issue, we will contact you before we work on your sail.
A few of our more common repair and service jobs include:
• patching and repairs
• chafe patches
• UV protection replacement
• restitching and reinforcement
• recuts
• repair and service work on marine canvas and sailcovers
Some of our less common jobs include:
• windsurfing sails (clean and dry please – sand damages our machines)
• pool covers (clean and dry please – Colleen hates spiders)
• all brands of Windsurfing sails and Kiteboarding kites

"Well Wednesday night we did it again. We were going through race rocks in 35 knots of breeze, chinese jibed and blew up our kite again – a foot below the last repair. We tore it in half and ripped the leach right off. We figured that was “it” but again, Paul Betts and the team from Leitch and McBride Sailmakers came to the rescue. They picked up the kite yesterday, and we woke up to it repaired in our cockpit this morning! Thanks again Leitch and McBride! Amazing service!" Declan Sacre. Beneteau 36.7
